50 Bible Verses About Gentleness

Bible verses about gentleness

Gentleness is one of the nine fruits of the Holy Spirit. It involves extending kindness and compassion through our words and actions towards others.

Even though sometimes gentleness can be seen as a sign of weakness, it’s actually the opposite. It is a demonstration of inner strength and self-control that can only be obtained by a higher level of maturity and character.

Jesus is our role model in displaying gentleness. As highlighted in these Bible verses about gentleness, He always showed a willingness to patiently listen and comfort those who approached Him. For instance, when little children came to Him, He extended a gentle invitation for the children and blessed them, even though His disciples initially wanted to send them away.

Like Jesus, we too are called to treat each other with gentleness. This not only applies to our friends and family but also to people we don’t know.
