In the Bible, Jesus instructs us to love our neighbours as we love ourselves. One of the best ways we can show our unselfish love for others is by following in the footsteps of Christ and praying for them.
Jesus loved praying for other people. He prayed for His disciples, the people He healed, little children, and even those who were responsible for His crucifixion. Despite all the pain and the betrayal He felt while on the cross, Jesus still asked God to forgive his betrayers, teaching us a lesson about praying for those who wrong us and forgiving them.
While it is certainly not always easy to pray for others, especially those who have wronged us, the Bible through these 50+ verses urges us to love and pray for one another in following God’s commandments and the teachings of Jesus.
