Jealousy is a natural human emotion that we all struggle with sometimes. Even though we are born with it, it is also an ugly feeling that if not controlled can result in serious consequences like murder. Haven’t we all heard stories about people who killed their loved ones because of jealousy? Aren’t such stories very common in the news?

In the Bible, there are several stories and numerous teachings that show how jealousy can cause us to sin against God. One such story is found in Genesis 37. In this story, Joseph’s brothers, filled with envy and jealousy towards him, conspired to kill him but ended up selling him into slavery.
